PINNACLE POINT
Seven holes on the Indian ocean
Designed by Peter Matkovich and 2011 Open Champion Darren Clarke. Opened 2006. Twice named South Africa's best golf course at the World Golf Awards.
Four kilometers of cliff-top coastline, with seven holes routed directly along the edge of the Indian Ocean. The clubhouse sits 100 meters above the sea with 270° views. The course is compared most often to Pebble Beach and Old Head — the comparison is fair.
Carts only, no caddies. The round is the kind played slowly and remembered for years.
